posted Mar 25th, 2014 - SDC Rhythm XP just completed the Paraclete XP Indoor and Outdoor Championship 2014 double header week and is back to normal team operation now.

The SDC Rhythm XP operation takes mostly place at four different locations. The team spends the winter time at Skydive Sebastian where Skydive Chicago, Rhythm's summer home, flies one of their Twin Otters during the cold winter months in Illinois.

SDC Rhythm XP is also at home at Paraclete XP where the team members are running their tunnel and coaching camps. Last not least, there is also a Rhythm satellite station on the west coast. Center Inside Christy Frikken still lives and works at Skydive Perris, and her team mates visit her on a similar regular basis as she travels to the east coast.

Dan BC, former Arizona Airspeed 4way and 8way world champion and host of the upcoming season opener of the Southern California Skydiving League in Perris, informed the Sun Path Products NSL News that the Rhythm members will be a part of the SCSL season opener:

"Skydive Perris is building up for a big SCSL 4way meet this coming April 26! We are welcoming SDC RHYTHM XP, one of the world's top 4way teams to Perris this April. Rhythm will be training here from April 1 - 9 and April 21 - May 2. The team members will be available throughout the day for tips and advice and will be organizing loads each day after team training. Rhythm will also be splitting up and putting different teams together for the SCSL meet during the Easter Boogie from April 16 - 20. You can be on one of them. Contact Christy Frikken by e-mail to join one of their teams."

Dan BC is also offering free 4way and 8way coaching during the boogie and at the meet. He said that there will be a boogie jump rate of $22, "whether you do one jump or 100".

SDC Rhythm XP used the Paraclete competition week once again to measure the current distance to the US top team, Arizona Airspeed, which is almost identical compared to the situation at the beginning of the 2013 season. The reigning world and US champions are roughly a 3-point average ahead of Rhythm at the moment.

The distance between Airspeed and Rhythm was about the same at the USPA Nationals 2013. Both teams increased their indoor and outdoor averages by approx. the same margins between the Paraclete 2013 and 2014 meets.

The situation behind both teams has changed though, as Carolina Turbo XP has reduced the distance significantly. But that's another story...
