John D'Annunzio's team Paraclete XP4 competed in Bedford last year, and it was a great opportunity to find the best way how to enter the flying chamber with a 4way team at both events. They decided that the entry door will be looked at like the door of a jump plane. Anything will be allowed to hold on to the door frame, and the net may not be used to stand on.
The new rules gave the teams the opportunity to get creative and launch more complete formations into the tunnel air. The new entry could save a few fractions of a second and break the first formation of the sequence earlier. However, it seems as if the new entry freedom did not have a serious impact on the scoring averages. Teams have used a combination of the previous rules and more grip connections this year in Bedford, as the videos are showing.

The Aerodyne French Girls dominated the first day of the competition and won the first half of the meet by six points. It looked as if the outcome of the World Challenge 2014 would be the same as at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2014, where the French Girls won by 11 points after ten rounds.
However, the Golden Knights left the first day behind and were able to tie the French 5-round total of the second day. The French Girls still won the featured Round 6 by a point before the Golden Knights stepped up and did not allow the French team to add another point to the lead. Round 6 was in fact the only round of the second day that the Golden Knights gave away. It must be said though that the French team had to deal with a challenging situation after Laurence Herve broke her nose on the first Block 8 move (Canadian T - Canadian T) in Round 8. But that's another story...
