Czech Republic and Florida Skydiving League have even more in common this week. The 4way teams will follow up on the coming weekend with the next outdoor meet. Both hosts will use the same competition draw, just as the sequences for the Indoor Cloud League are synchronized each month.
Denmark is also hosting its annual DFU Cup this weekend, and teams in the United Kingdom have their opportunity of the 2014 season opener with a competition in Sibson.
May 2014 | AAA Class | AA Class | A Class | Rookie AAA | Rookie AA | Rookie A | Total | |
Rank | Teams | O,E,14,3 | O,E,N,14 | O,E,9 | O,E,N | M,O,E | M,O | Total |
1 | iFLY Orlando (US) | 18 | 18 | 21(-1) | 18 | 19(-1) | 29(-3) | 123 |
2 | Skydive Arena (CZ) | 20 | 16(-12) | 31 | 20 | 15 | 18 | 120 |
However, iFLY Seattle and iFLY Orlando both had outscored the Czech group at the Skydive Arena last month with the total number of points. The Czech group did not have a score for the Rookie A Class, which allowed both iFLY groups to take the two top spots.
This time, the current lead of iFLY Orlando is caused by a 12-point deduction that the Bad Boys had to swallow for the AA Class sequence. The Bad Boys actually completed 28 points in working time, which were reduced to the posted 16-pointer due to an incorrect sequence of the three random formations.
The Hurricane Factory Chicks followed up on the 26-pointer (P,B,6) in the A Class last month with a world class 31-pointer (O,E,9) this week in the same category. Those two scores finish off the HF Chicks presence in the A Class, as well. The all-female lineup, winner of the Rookie Class at the World Challenge 2014, have posted scores higher than 25 points two times in all four categories (Rookie A - Rookie AA - Rookie AAA - A Class) with limitation rules.
The HF Chicks have blown through those four categories like a hurricane and are now facing the AA Class sequences. That's one of the two unlimited categories where the Bad Boys have scored for the Skydive Arena so far. There is an interesting internal competition coming up in the Czech Republic...
