... that Round 4 might bring a new 8-way world record?

Opening ceremony fun with NMP-PCH Hayabusa and Fuzion
posted Aug 25th, 2014 - The last day before the start of the FAI World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2014 went by with beautiful weather and was concluded with the competition draw after the opening ceremony.

It was once again a manual live draw by the judges in front of the teams and competitors. The atmosphere was stirred up a bit when Round 4 was drawn. The sequence did not get the 4-way teams too excited, however, the 8-way teams were showing some emotions.

The sequence of Round 4 is the fastest one that has been drawn in a long time. It could be a training sequence for an 8-way team that wants to practice a faster pace. Block 1 and 4 are a classical combination for an 8-way team looking for a high score.

This would not be a surprise if the Golden Knights finally beat their own 31-pointer from 1997 in Round 4. As usual, most of the teams went straight to work for engineering and the first preparations. The 4-way teams will be called to the planes in the morning, and the 8-way teams and VFS 4-way teams follow in the afternoon.

The Sun Path Products NSL News were able to take a short break when Arizona Airspeed member Thomas Hughes filled the open NSL-TV anchor slot that Joey Jones usually takes. Joey Jones has not shown up yet in Prostejov, as his team and coaching plans did not materialze.

However, Thomas Hughes did a fine job interviewing the Canadian team in 4-way Women, Fuzion, with shooting star Valerie Bisson. Thomas Hughes is also coaching the Canadian team. He did not know what happened to the Fun Flag after he had raised it on top of the drop zone building...
