Did You Know...

... that the completion of Round 1 in two 4-way events was a little miracle in Prostejov?

Ready to defend the 4-way title: Arizona Airspeed
posted Aug 26th, 2014 - It was a little miracle that Round 1 of the FAI World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2014 was completed in Prostejov. Sun Path Products representative Chris Talbert, former 4-way and 8-way world class competitor with the Golden Knights, explains at the beginning of the new NSL Reality TV video clip what a surprise it was to see teams boarding the jump planes when he and Brian "BK" Krause, still reigning 8-way world champion, arrived at the drop zone.

Actually, Round 1 was only completed in 4-way Open and 4-way Women, however, the meet is on its way, and the first scores are posted.

It was still raining in the boarding area when some of the planes were loaded. Host Martin Dlouhy expressed on the same video clip how happy he was that one round was completed on the first day of the competition. It surely was a surprise after a rainy day and a bad weather forecast.

Dark clouds and happy faces: Evolution after Round 1
Round 1 was completed, even though not all scores have been posted yet. The judges could not finish their work due to a power failure in the evening. The French national team Volt'R is the current leader, with all other top teams still to come.

The top contenders were happy with their performances after landing from Round 1. The NSL-TV camera was near Evolution member Katie Woods in the landing area. She still had shaking hands from the excitement of the first round. It happens even to the best 4-way competitors in the world that they are still shaken by their emotions and arousal level.

The Sun Path Products NSL News expected the next horse race in 4-way Women, as the recent story on 22 August 2014 explained. The Golden Knights now made it very clear in Round 1 that they have caught up since the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2014 in March. The weather forecast is not much better for Wednesday, however, the teams will be at the drop zone at 8 am...
