NMP-PCH Hayabusa is three points ahead after three rounds and has not shown any weaknesses yet, while Evolution is challenging Arizona Airspeed. The Belgian team took a few minutes after today's end of the 4-way competition to discuss the current situation with the Sun Path Products NSL News.
It's a special day for David Grauwels who celebrated his birthday by competing on the top of the leaderboard from the beginning. That's a new position for the Belgians who have been trailing at the world meets of the past, and it provides them with additional confidence.
Hayabusa has also established a very clean performance style, which became quite visible in Round 2, as well. One inter of Block 6 (Stardian - Stardian) was not completed as expected. All team members were aware enough to detect the mistake and did not move forward. The mistake was corrected, and Hayabusa then continued in synch.
The same sequence included a Yuan (D) and one of the many formations that Hayabusa completed in the 35 seconds of working time had an open grip. The team waited "patiently" for a few fractions of a second until Tail Roy Janssen had closed the mini gap and then moved on. It will continue to be be very difficult for the two opponents to challenge Hayabusa serilously...
