posted Sep 13th, 2014 - The situation in the 4-way Intermediate Class competition of the USPA Nationals 2014 is very similar to the Advanced Class, as teams decide by themselves to register for this category, with one exception.

The winners of previous national championships in the Intermediate Class have to compete in the Advanced or Open Class in the future, and individual members may come back in the same category with a different team.

Dallas Khaos Khobalt won USPA's Intermediate Class gold medals last year and are now competing in the Advanced Class. Several other teams are coming back in the same category after competing in the Intermediate Class in 2013. Vertigo Black won the bronze medals last year, while Jetstream Tango, Spaceland SPX4 and Carolina Dynamic were close to the medal positions.

The same teams will most likely compete for this year's top spots in the Intermediate Class, where two more teams from Texas will join the battle on the top, Spaceland Tsunami and Toxic. Both teams competed in the same category last year, as well.

Synergy from the Northwest Skydiving League posted top scores in the Intermediate Class last year as a guest team and are still not eligible for USPA medals. The Falcons B team from Qatar is another guest team who will position themselves on the top of the leaderboard.
