... that AAARspeed combines the oldest and the latest generation of Airspeed members?

4-way gold medals in 1995 and 1997: Arizona Airspeed's first generation
posted Sep 14th, 2014 - The second half of the 10-round competition at the USPA Nationals 2014 is the slower one. Arizona Airspeed was standing with a 30+ average after the first four rounds, however, Mark Kirkby said in his last meet that it was only a fast start into the competition.

The new Airspeed member, wo is actually just coming back after a 2-year break, Niklas Hemlin, is also competing at Skydive Chicago. He has joined forces with his Airspeed team mate of 2012, Josh Hall. Dan BC and Jack Jefferies complete the AAARspeed lineup.

The AAARspeed lineup combines for a unique 4-way gold medal collection. Dan BC and Jack Jefferies bring in two 4-way gold medals each (1995, 1997) while Josh Hall and Niklas Hemlin won their gold medals at the Mondial Dubai 2012.

4-way gold medals in 2012 for Josh Hall, Niklas Hemlin
Dan BC, Jack Jefferies, Josh Hall and Niklas Hemlin actually combine for the same number of 4-way gold medals (6) as the current Arizona Airspeed lineup. Mark Kirkby leaves with a total of five gold medals (1995, 1997, 1999, 2008, 2012) and Thomas Hughes added his one in 2012.

Niklas Hemlin and Thomas Hughes will be back together for the new Airspeed lineup, while Josh Hall has no comeback plans. He is working on the 2015 plans for the Southern California Skydiving League. Thomas Hughes went from gold in 2012 to silver at the FAI World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2014, while Niklas Hemlin skipped the world meet in Prostejov as an active member. He was still in the Czech Republic as the Airspeed alternate.

The Airspeed lineup of the past two years is far ahead of all other teams this weekend, with no indication that there could be a US threat any time soon. The AAARspeed lineup shows the oldest and the newest generation of Airspeed members having 4-way fun together. Both lineups combine for a total of 12 world meet gold medals since 1995. By the way: The AAARspeed average after Round 6 (20.3) is almost identical (20.2) with Dan BC's and Jack Jefferies' last world meet in Australia 1999...
