Did You Know...

... that iFLY Orlando started the Indoor Cloud League competition for September?

Florida group at iFLY Orlando last Thursday
posted Sep 16th, 2014 - Life goes on in the rest of the skydiving world, while the USPA Nationals 2014 are catching the main attention this week.

It is challenging during a major event to keep up with the general flow of information. The Sun Path Products NSL News receives updates from many different events on a regular basis, and sometimes it takes a little longer until the updates eventually make it to the online audience.

The indoor training has had a significant impact on the outdoor scores in the past years, and most of the top teams in all categories are regulars at one of the many wind tunnels in the USA. Paraclete XP still has the only 16-foot chamber in the country and is by far the most popular indoor facility for 4-way and 8-way training. However, Paraclete's 8-way lineup struggles this year to give Arizona Airspeed a great battle for the 2nd place. The vast outdoor experience in the Airspeed lineup still seems to be the winner over amazing skills and indoor training.

Florida's indoor training and the monthly Indoor Cloud League events takes place at iFLY Orlando. FSL teams, competitors and new participants came back together last Thursday for the first FSL Tunnel Kicker this month and posted the first scores and videos for the new sequences.

Four different lineups are responsible for the six scoring numbers on the first ICL leaderboard of the month. Adam Money, who was the Tail for DeLand Aurai before he had knee surgery last month, is already back in action and tested the stability of his knee with the Rookie A Class sequence.

Rodrigo Espinosa has replaced him in the meantime, and DeLand Aurai scored the highest number of the night, the 24-pointer for the Rookie AA Class sequence.

The current Aurai lineup also flew the A Class sequence last Thursday and took on Block 6 in the 12-foot chamber for the first time. The technical execution was impressive, however, another lineup with two more A Class newcomers (Amer Kassas, Chris Rhodes) scored higher and added the 12-pointer to the iFLY Orlando account.

A third lineup (Ali Bawden, Megan Walker, Jairo Garcia, Dani Bridges) took on the A Class sequence for the first time, as well. They could not beat the 12-pointer but are now on the leaderboard with the 13-pointer for the Rookie AAA Class sequence.

The Florida group goes back to iFLY Orlando this Thursday and will try to add some points to the current total of 98 ICL points.
