Perris Fury's other eight rounds have now been added, and the latest NSL YouTube TV video features all ten rounds of this year's winner in Raeford.
The main reason for the last-minute change in the lineup was the fact that Airspeed has had an extremely busy schedule leading into the Paraclete XP meet. There is not much time for rest between training, coaching, organising skydiving events, especially as Craig Girard and Eliana Rodriguez are one of the most popular coaches in the world.
The ongoing traveling from one event location to the next one does not make it much easier, and this agenda is the same for most of the top teams and competitors. However, the Airspeed members are usually even busier with their titles as the current 4-way world champions and Craig Girard's unprecedented wealth of experiences after decades of world class training and competition.
In other words, Eliana Rodriguez and Craig Girard were exhausted upon their arrival at Paraclete XP. Craig Girard did not feel well and tried to get some additional rest. It did not help much, as he still felt uncomfortable after a few days.
It is important to know that the multiple world champion went through an incredible recovery after a stroke almost exactly a year ago at the same place. The stroke happened four days before last year's Paraclete XP Money Meet, which was an indoor and outdoor competition, each over ten rounds.
He has been much more cautious as of any symptoms for another stroke or health problem ever since. It was only logical that he and Eliana Rodriguez decided to step back when he did not feel better after more rest than usual in Raeford this year.
Result was the new front piece with Thomas Hughes and John Eagle, while Craig Girard went to the same hospital for a comprehensive health check.
There were no symptoms of another stroke or any other health issues, and the Airspeed front piece is now back in full action.
In fact, Craig Girard said that he used the time in the hospital like a vacation and tried to get as much additional rest as possible. The Airspeed schedule and his own one is not going to slow down after this recovery. The July trip to China for the World Games is next on the competition agenda, and Airspeed is looking forward to go that far east for the first time.
The USPA Nationals 2009 will follow in October.
