Did You Know...

... that the 2014 season was a remarkable year for the Bisson family?

First 4astrophe lineup in 2013
posted Dec 29th, 2014 - The latest scores and videos of the Indoor Cloud League came from SkyVenture Montreal in Canada and bring Yannick Bisson back to the headlines, the 14-year old 4-way competitor, who scores for team 4astrophe, together with his father Richard and his sister Valerie.

The reason for the new attention of the Sun Path Products NSL News is not only the 23-pointer for December's AA Class sequence, which ties the Bad Boys highscore for the same category. The 2014 season was just another remarkable year for the Bisson family, and especially for Yannick Bisson.

The Sun Path Products NSL News brought Yannick Bisson and his 4-way family to the attention of the audience for the first time in April 2013. Their team 4astrophe had won the Canadian Indoor Nationals in the A Class with a 21.0 average after eight rounds.

Valeris Bisson with Fuzion at the World Meet 2014 in Prostejov
The 2014 season brought a lot of new excitement to the Bisson family life. 4astrophe traveled to Bedford for the World Challenge 2014 and competed in the AA Class (4th place - 16.5 average) for the first time. A few months later, 17-year young Valerie Bisson was recruited by the Canadian national team in 4-way Women, Fuzion, to compete at the FAI World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2014. She celebrated her 18th birthday during the event.

Father Richard Bisson and daughter Valerie were familiar with the AAA Class dive pool when 4astrophe still competed in the lower categories in 2013 (A) and 2014 (AA). It was no big surprise that Yannick Bisson would not spend too much time in the same categories. In fact, he only waited for the World Challenge 2014 to be over and to begin with mastering the complete dive pool.

The different lineups of the Bisson family team with now 13-year old Yannick (Fuzion member Marie-Eve Dallaire, Evolution members Katie Woods, Martin and Benoit Lemay, Monika Wittmer) posted the first AAA Class scores when the sequences also matched the AA Class criteria (February, March, April).

December AAA Class lineup with Marie-Eve Dallaire
4astrophe began to take on the complete AAA Class dive pool when the World Challenge was over. The AA Class sequences of the Indoor Cloud League can usually be drawn for a AAA Class competition, as well, while they still spare the AA Class lineups the slot switchers and memory sequences. However, 4astrophe took care of the full-fledged AAA Class sequences, too, beginning in May this year.

Block 5 (Opal - Opal) and Block 17 (Danish T - Murphy) are a part of the Indoor Cloud League AAA Class dive pool, which meant that all 4astrophe members had to get familiar with slot switchers and memory, including Yannick Bisson, who had turned 14 in May, just when 4astrophe posted the first scores for the most challenging 4-way sequences.

That was not enough for the youngest AAA Class competitor in the world. Yannick Bisson has been flying the point slot ever since his team joined 4-way competition. 4astrophe's continuity plan has more slot switchers and memory sequences for the front piece. The new ICL video shows how well Yannick Bisson has mastered his point slot this year. He posted three AAA Class highscores with 4astrophe and a few more in the AA Class...
