Did You Know...

... that two MidAtlantic Skydiving League teams won their categories last weekend?

VTSD prepares for a round at Cross Keys
posted Jul 2nd, 2009 - Last weekend's leaderboard is now complete, as the scores from Texas have been added to the ones from the MidAtlantic Skydiving League.

MASL teams took the first places in the AAA Class (Cross Keys Blue) and the AA Class (VTSD, Weatherhold), while teams from Texas dominated the Rookie Class competition at Skydive Dallas. The NSL News will go back to the TSL meet later.

MASL Director Cherie Schuch provided photos and a few videos of the competition at Cross Keys. The team photos complete the team pages where the lineups have already been posted earlier.

Weatherhold prepares for a round at Cross Keys
The first videos feature the AA Class team Weatherhold with three of the six rounds. Weatherhold could not keep up with VTSD at Cross Keys. However, the AA Class competition on site pushed Weatherhold enough to finish ahead of the three teams of the Texas Skydiving League.

More videos of Cross Keys Blue and VTSD will follow soon. VTSD, with Doug Barron, Joey Coffineau, Andrew Hoppick, Ben Worrall and Jamie Sides on camera, attended already the team's 4th competition this year. The outdoor results clearly (10.0 - 10.2 - 12.5) show that the team knows how to apply the competition experiences.

VTSD competed at two meets of the Carolina Skydiving League and attended the Paraclete XP Indoor Skydiving Championship 2009, as well. Last weekend's 12.5 average has made VTSD already one of the top contenders in this year's national AA/Intermediate Class competition. The next MASL meet is the annual Karp Cup, which is scheduled for July 25.
