The new Open Class lineup (Laurence Herve, Damien Gouriou, Charles Rommel, Kevin Mansion) and the new French Girls (Christine Malnis, Sophia Pecout, Clementine Le Bohec, Anais Maillet) have probably a very similar starting point for the new 2-year cycle with their current scoring averages.
The internal race is different than the external one where the starting positions are very different. The French Girls are the reigning world champions in their category, while the Open Class lineup has to find a way back to the top level of 4-way competition in the world after the 4th place at the FAI World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2014.

Marin Ferre's first assignment by national coach Jerome David was the new 4-way Open Class team with Mathieu and Guillaume Bernier, Julien Degen, Jeremie Rollett. He guided the 8-way world champions of 2006 to the silver medals in 2008 and then the gold medals in 2010 before his work turned to the 4-way Women event.
He began with the French national team in 4-way Women in 2008 and won the first gold medals for France in this event with Deep Blue in 2010, followed by two more gold medals in 2012 and 2014.
The current French national coach has now re-assigned Marin Ferre to the new French lineup in the Open Class for the coming two years. He has a very good reason for this decision, as he explained: "Marin Ferre is our most experienced coach in France, and it's a big goal for us to come back to the Top 3 positions as soon as possible. He's the best person for this challenge."
Jeremie Rollett himself will be working with the new lineup of the French Girls, who are facing the next challenge by the Golden Knights. It's an internal race between the coaches in France, as well...
