... that four Czech AA Class teams move closer to the 3-time winner PB Fire?

Dominating the Czech Rookie Class: Flying Circus
posted Jan 16th, 2015 - The 4-way teams in the Czech Republic completed their 3rd indoor meet of the 2014/2015 winter season this Thursday at the Hurricane Factory in Prague.

14 teams had attended the first meets in November and December, and only the HF Chicks missed this week's competition. The Bad Boys added their next 20+ average to the team record before traveling to Spain next week for the Wind Games.

The Flying Circus has taken a dominating position in the Rookie Class competition of five teams at each meet. Flying Circus (Lukas Kaderabek, Martina Vavackova, Dagmar Bezdekova, Hana Weinlichova, Lenka Dvorakova) had started with a 13.4 average in September last year and won with a 21.2 average on Thursday.

3-time AA Class winner PB Fire
The most interesting Czech competition recently takes place in the AA Class where another five teams are just a step away from entering the AAA/Open Class category soon.

PB Fire (Jaroslav Hrstka, Vronika Hrstkova, Michal Pracny, Tomas Berousek, Katerina Hodinkova, Karel Vesely) has been dominating the Czech AA Class competition since the start of the new winter season in November and has won all three meets. However, the situation is slowly changing, as the other four teams have been pushing each other closer to the top team.

PB Fire won in November by 19 points after ten rounds and was still 17 points ahead of the team in 2nd place in December. The winning margin this week was down to six points.

Leader after Round 2: Accord
The reason is not a weaker performance by the leader. PB Fire improved the team's meet average almost by a whole point. The other teams make even more progress and keep coming closer.

Impact (10.5 - 11.7 - 13.7), Best of Relative (11.5 - 11.5 - 12.7), AFF Centrum (9.9 - 11.3 - 12.0) and Accord (11.5 - 11.5 - 12.7) gave each other tough battles for the spots behind the winner at every single meet last year. The tight competition now pays off, as all four teams keep moving up together and at the same time.

PB Fire still won or tied nine of ten rounds in December, while now giving away four of the ten January rounds. Each of the four challengers won or tied at least one round, which shows how deep the field is going in the Czech AA Class competition. Accord, in 4th place at the end, was actually the leader after two rounds, and PB Fire found themselves surprisingly in last place after Round 1. This week's results from Prague promise more exciting AA Class battles this winter.
