LOOK AT THOSE SCORES! Meet 4 of the Southwest Skydiving League was held at Skydive Elsinore on Saturday, May 28th, with 11 teams turning out for some of the most intense competition and impressive scoring among amateur teams the league has ever seen.
The A Class has been increasing its numbers, and this meet featured two new teams: The Aerofiles, comprised of Chris Luff (inside center), Eric Luff (tail), Suzanne Watson (outside center), Joe Maso (point), and Chris G (video), took 1st place with a 3.7 average.
Elsinore O.S. included Chuck Reilly, Ryan Simpson, Jack Eberhart, Nate Halprin, and Terry Weatherford (video). These local jumpers, who regularly come out to participate in Elsinore's Excel Basic Camp, had a great time competing and finished in 2nd place with a 2.0 average.
Airzona Divewerkz, including Blane Boynton (Point), Annie Peterson (IC), Murel Addison (OC), Paul Gatling (Tail) and Jim Cowan (video), finished in second with a 10.8 average to take the silver medal. We are seeing a bit more of Divewerkz on the podium this season, proof that the team that stays together medals together!
Just two points behind Divewerkz, Elsinore Equinox finished in 3rd with a 10.5 average, the teams highest average yet. Equinox is comprised of Rob Cope (point), Kevin Thomson (outside center), Don Mullenix (inside center), Steven Mish (tail), and Richard Schindler (video). Perris Quest finish in 4th with a 4.7 average. Keep coming back, Quest! Nice job!

This new team consists of Erin Murphy (outside center), Melanie Curtis (point), Lou Ascione (inside center), Steve Simar (tail), and Bryan Harrell (video).
After the completion of round six, there was a tie for 3rd place. Perris Katalyst and Perris Storm both finished the meet with a 13.5 average, but Katalyst's highscore of 21 points in round five earned the team the bronze medal. Competing on Katalyst with player coach Christopher Irwin (inside center) this year are: Chris Riley (outside center), Veronica Golub (point), Piya Navanagruha (tail), and "Crazy" Larry Simmons (video). Storm, with Bill Morrison (outside center), Mike Anderson (point), Dominic Guzman (inside center), Andi McNew (tail) and John Chisolm (video), posted a highscore of 19 points, just two points behind of Katalyst.
