Did You Know...

... that the Georgia Skydiving League collected $550 for the Children's Miracle Network?

Farm Animals at the GSL July meet
posted Jul 22nd, 2009 - The NSL News is going back to the July 11 meet weekend, which was one of the busiest this year.

The Farm Animals of the Georgia Skydiving League had to defend their top position of the first GSL 2009 meet against two other new A Class lineups at Skydive the Farm. The 1-point victory over Push on May 30 was already a very close race. It was not easier at all for the Farm Animals at the second meet.

This time, Partial Pink gave the Farm Animals an even tougher time. Former Mr. Pink member Mike Gruwell guided the challenger through the four rounds.

Both teams won a round by two points, tied the other two rounds and ended up tied in 1st place.

A cloudy weather situation limited the competition to four rounds only, and time was short for some participants to break the tie.

Eventually, the Farm Animals forfeited the jumpoff, and Partial Pink was the official winner of the GSL July meet.

GSL Director Steve Chalfant reported that former Nemesis members Kim and Doug Glover were on hand to help all teams and provided great coaching: "Everyone was very happy to have their expertise."

He added that Farm Animals member Nicole Ippolito collected $550.00 for the Children's Miracle Network on behalf of the Georgia Skydiving League. A sizeable contribution from Hans Polson, owner of Skydive the Farm, helped this GSL fundraising effort.
