posted Jul 25th, 2009 - The German teams at the Nuggets Cup 2009 completed five rounds despite a slow start with a weather hold due to rain after the first round.

It looks as if the Incognito Leutkirch girls might really be able to create a big upset and send a strong message to the Chicas just a few weeks before the national championships.

The 16.4 average after the first and slower half of the 10-round meet promises a new scoring annd performance level for a German female lineup. New Chicas member and 4-way veteran Nina Kuebler will have to pull all her cards to bring her new team on course to defend the national title and the status as the national 4-way team in the female category.

X-Ray Remscheid performs strongly in the technically more challenging sequences. FSC Eisenach, the defending German champion seems to have advantages with faster sequences. Mike Vetter, drop zone operator of GoJump in Berlin-Gransee and X-Ray's Center Inside, said that his team copied the competition on Friday that FSC Eisenach attended last weekend. X-Ray was only shortly behind despite the fast competition draw and simply added : "It will be close."

He said that X-Ray has an average performance, which is according to the team plan. His team had a 6-week break and usually needs about ten days of training and 50 to 60 jumps to get to the peak performance level. X-Ray travels straight to his skydiving center in Berlin-Gransee for the next training camp after the completion of the Nuggets Cup. The German Nationals 2009 are scheduled for August 4 - 8.

He has been observing the race in the female category, as well, and is impressed with Incognito's progression. He said that the team is showing a very clean performance and seems to have the potential for much more. He thinks that the Chicas are almost too clean to keep up with Incognito: "It seems as if they need a more competitive drive."

The competition will be continued tomorrow. Plan is to complete all ten rounds.
