Eleven additional teams competed in the French intermediate category, which is not synchronized with the NSL dive pools. Seven 8-way teams competed in Maubeuge, as well, plus three Vertical Relative Work teams.
The Monaco Parachute Team had won the two previous competitions of the Coupe de France 2009. This time, one of the French national B-Team lineups was too strong for the Monaco 4-way and 8-way veterans. Aerokart Amada, with Guillaume Bajolet, Florian Denonfoux, Martial Ferré and William Hamouchi in the lineup, won the first place with a 21.3 average.
Martial Ferré is also a member of the new French national 8-way team. The other French national teams did not compete at the national championships.
Aerokart Amada used the competition as a warmup for the FAI World Cup 2009, which begins next Monday in the Czech Republic. France will be represented by several 4-way teams, including Aerokart Deep Blue in the female category, and the reigning 8-way world champions with a new lineup.
