Did You Know...

... that Perrine Sanchez and Julien Degen had a good warm-up session at Aerokart?

World champion team mates in Prostejov 2014: Dennis Praet and Roy Janssen
posted Feb 8th, 2015 - NMP-PCH Hayabusa member Dennis Praet and three Gavroche members (Clement Martin Saint Leon, Emmanuel Sarrazin, Julien Olek) were back in a flying chamber just two weeks after the completion of the Wind Games 2015.

This time, it was Aerokart in Paris, France, who invited 4-way teams to their annual competition, the Aerokart Challenge, and a total of 16 teams attended the event.

Neither Hayabusa nor Gavroche competed with their complete lineup. In fact, Dennis Praet was the only Hayabusa member of the current lineup who traveled to Paris for yesterday's competition. However, he had Hayabusa company in his Pas Op lineup, as former Tail Roy Janssen joined the pick-up team for this event.

The two Hayabusa members had two other former 4-way world champions in their lineup, which explained the 29.3 average after ten rounds. Julien Degen had won 8-way gold medals for France in 2006 and 2008 and then 4-way gold in 2010. Perrine Sanchez won gold medals in 4-way Women with the French Girls in 2012 and 2014.

The Sun Path Products NSL News reported on 5 February 2015 that Perrine Sanchez would join forces with Julien Degen and two current French Girls (Christine Malnis, Sophia Pecout) for the World Challenge 2015. The Aerokart Challenge 2015 was a nice warm-up event for this half of "Weembi Lille" who will compete in Bedford.

Perrine Sanchez said that her Bedford lineup had a little bit flying time at the end of January, and she surely enjoyed the 29.3 average performance in Paris, boosted though by the Super Sequence (K,L,F,N,E) in Round 7.

Gavroche with B-Team member Eliott Lesimple
Gavroche landed a 2nd place in Paris after the 3rd place at the Wind Games. The meet average was slightly lower than in Spain and at previous events with the complete lineup.

Thomas Perrin was not available for yesterday's indoor competition, and Gavroche offered a competitor of the next French 4-way generation the opportunity to perform on a much higher level. Eliott Lesimple filled the open slot for the meet. He is a member of the official French B-Team, Artemis Saumur Flyzone.

The French B-Team has Mathieu Bernier as their player coach this year, 8-way world champion of 2006 and 2008, plus double-gold in 4-way and 8-way in 2010. Aurelien Lemaire and Pamela Lissajoux complete the lineup. New French Girls member Clementine Le Bohec was recruited from this B-Team lineup last year. Eliott Lesimple could be the next candidate for an Open Class slot, as the 25.7 average is more than promising...
