Did You Know...

... that Josh Hall, Dan BC and Sarah Smith ran the next SCSL skills camp in Perris?

Dan BC with his Rookie Class lineup
posted Mar 5th, 2015 - The Sun Path Products NSL News explained on 3 July 2015 how Josh Hall and Yvonne "Yo" Owyeong were planning new activities for the 2015 season of the Southern California Skydiving League.

They followed up with the first skills camp in January 2015 in Elsinore, as the story on January 13th reported. The second skills camp took place in Perris on February 21st, and it was completed successfully.

Yo Owyeong said that her SCSL group had another great day at Perris despite the weather situation:

"We didn't get in the air until about 11:30am - noonish and got three jumps in before the clouds came in."

SCSL skills camp seminar
The bad weather was no obstacle for other helpful activities before and after the breaks, as Yo Owyeong said: "Josh Hall, Dan BC and Sarah Smith did an awesome seminar in the morning about the importance of preparing for a skydive."

Two AA Class teams, one A Class team and a Rookie Class lineup participated in the skills camp. Vanessa Harris, Arvin Tseng, Nate Halprin, Marty Kail and videographer Linc Harris was the first AA Class lineup. Zack Winoker, Jake Muehls, Brian Hua, Carl Schwenk were filmed by John Legge.

The A Class team had league director Yo Owyeong in the lineup, together with Crystal Sanchez, Alex Sarminento, and Terry Dauplaise. Shannon Saerls was filming the team. Dan BC was player coach for the Rookie Class lineup with Mark McGregor, Max Lyubimov and Dave Stephens. Curt Frye was filming the Rookie Class team.

SCSL skills camp team in action
Yo Owyeong provided a short summary after the event and announced the next SCSL skills camp:

"Thank you all so much for another GREAT event at Perris and special thanks to Josh Hall, DanBC and Sarah Smith and not to forget our video flyer Curt Frye!

We were off to a slow start due to the weather. However, Josh, Dan and Sarah gave an AWESOME seminar and talked about the importance of preparing for a skydive from dirt diving, to creeping and the mock up. Eventually, we were able to get in the air and managed to get three jumps until the clouds moved in. Nonetheless a GREAT day, AWESOME coaching, BIG smiles and FUN! Next skills camp is March 14th at Skydive San Diego and Josh Hall will be coaching!"
