Did You Know...

... that the Czech Republic has a strong delegation at the World Challenge 2015?

Qatar Tigers at the World Challenge 2014
posted Mar 13th, 2015 - The field of 4-way teams for the World Challenge 2015 keeps growing. A total of 69 teams were registered last week, and the list does not include several teams who will attend the event and have not gone through the registration process yet.

The Qatar Tigers were one of the new teams on the AAA Class list. Qatar's national 4-way team missed the FAI World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2014 after a 7th place with a 23.0 average at the World Challenge 2014.

The Tigers would most likely have made both cuts in Prostejov and are now back in 4-way business with a new team member. It's the third appearance for the Qatar Tigers at the World Challenge (11th with 21.3 in 2013 - 7th with 23.0 in 2014) with coach Luc Verstrepen, former NMP-PCH Hayabusa member, and the Qatar team can be expected to finish once again in the TOP 10 at the World Challenge 2015.

Registered AAA Open: NMP-PCH Hayabusa (BE), SDC Rhythm XP (US), Gavroche (FR), SportLoto (RU), Thunder ISR (BE), Voodoo (ZA), Vision 99 (UK), Bad Boyz (CZ), Anti Matter (UK), Artemis Saumur RealFly (FR), Red Cat (RU), Weembi Lille (FR), Jazz Republic (ZA), Lupus (EE), Funnel Vision (UK), Neugomon (RU), Co-Motion (INT), Not Yet Decided (DK), ACM (UK), Bodyflight Aero (UK), Left Shark Squad (UK), H4O (IE), Eclipse (UK), Skyfool (UK), EuroCan (INT), Prime Pickles (DK), Qatar Tigers (QA), Ninja Swans (UK), Entropy (UK), Quasar (UK), Les Affranchis FlyZone (FR)
Registered AAA Women: Golden Knights (US), HF Chicks (CZ), CZ Ladies (CZ), Les Stunts (BE), NFTO (UK)
Registered AA Class: Fly Wild (UK), Blue Rebels (GR), No Mercy (PL), Fr4ment (UK), AirRush (DK), ChatterChicks (UK), Equinox (LT), Helix (UK), Ballista (IE), Amost Petite (UK), Team Pointless (UK)
Registered A Class: Team Rudi (BE), VossVind Girls (NO), Flyspot Chicks (PL), Satori Aqua (UK), Hybris (DK), Perpetual Chaos (UK), Brain Storming (IT), Funzies (DK), Gravitationally Ambiguous (UK), Bodyflight Black Majick (UK), trappedWINd (UK), Sapphire (IE), Garbatans (UK), PB Fire (CZ), Assioma (IT)
Registered Rookie Class: Jetmax (BE), Blackhawk (UK), VossVind Girls (NO), Skyfall (IE), Flying Circus (CZ), Staunch Jades (UK), ChatterChaps (UK)
AA Class top contender: Blue Rebels from Greece
The competition in 4-way Women has also become more interesting after NFTO signed up for the meet. Two of the NFTO members (Anna Hicks, Ane Brentford) trained and competed with Bodyflight Isis in the past. Isis discontinued after the UK Nationals 2014, where Kaizen confirmed the UK top position in 4-way Women.

Kaizen coach Pete Allum recently explained in a live interview with the Sun Path Products NSL News that Kaizen also had no plans for the future. Two Kaizen members (Maria Russel, Rai Ahmed) have now joined forces with the former Isis members and formed NFTO.

NFTO competed with a different lineup (Anna Hicks, Ane Brentford, Laura James, Claire Scott) at the Wind Games 2015 and posted a 21.7 average. NFTO will try to give the Golden Knights a competition in 4-way Women.

Qatar Tigers at the World Challenge 2014 and Blue Rebels at the ISR Grand Prix 2014
Strong delegation from the Czech Republic
The Blue Rebels from Greece are probably the top contender in the AA Class after a 17.4 average at the ISR Grand Prix 2014. The Blue Rebels placed 5th last year (15.3) at the World Challenge and compete in the same category.

The Czech Republic has a 5-team delegation from the Hurricane Factory in Bedford after PB Fire signed up for the A Class competition. The Bad Boys compete in the AAA/Open Class, and two more AAA Class teams (CZ Ladies, HF Chicks) are registered in 4-way Women.

PB Fire is one of the top contenders in the A Class, as Flying Circus is in the Rookie Class. Only the host country has a larger delegation than the Czech Republic, and the Czech teams may even have a chance to win the unofficial combined rankings of all teams from the same nations.
