It is easy to identify the team with the outstanding blue helmets. All four Turbo members have chosen the same color that their coach Thomas Hughes has as the Outside Center for Arizona Airspeed.
Turbo copied what their direct opponents, SDC Rhythm XP and Golden Knights, did at the outdoor competition. The 22.0 average is the highest meet average for the current lineup, which has been in training and competition since Nick Grillet joined the team at the beginning of the 2014 season.

The second chart compares Turbo's numbers with SDC Rhythm XP and Arizona Airspeed, and it shows the same difficulties that the earlier Rhythm story pointed out. In fact, it is even more challenging for the younger and newer team to catch up with the two best Open Class teams in the USA. The Golden Knights qualify separately for their own female category in international 4-way competition.
The two top teams have recently increased their scoring level more than Turbo did at the beginning of the 2015 season. Turbo will need even more patience and persistence and keep working towards the same performance level where Airspeed, Rhythm and Golden Knights have established themselves at the moment. SDC Rhythm XP and Golden Knights could serve as the perfect examples for Carolina Turbo XP in the coming years.
The video of Round 7 in Raeford shows the difficulty that Turbo had with the most interesting sequence of the 10-round competition draw, which caused two point deductions. The sequence (3,12,5) consisted of three slot switchers. Block 3 switches only the front piece partners for most AAA Class teams, and Block 12 brings them back to their original slots. Block 5 then switches both pieces in their slots and brings 2-page memory and techniques to the whole team.
Carolina Turbo XP's front piece over-rotated the required 540-degree turn and just decided to continue after completing a 720-degree turn. The front piece was now in different slots. However, the rules don't determine the slots, as long as the actual maneuver is shown correctly, and the whole team continued in a new slot combination for another whole page without much hesitation. It was a great reaction to a trouble situation, and it may have never happened before in 4-way competition with such a 3-block sequence...
