Did You Know...

... that NSL-TV goes back to the 8-way competition at Paraclete?

Same lineup in 2014 and 2015: Paraclete XP8
posted Apr 24th, 2015 - There are still stories and footage of the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2015 that have not been used for updates yet. No events were scheduled for this week, and it offers an opportunity for the Sun Path Products NSL News to catch up.

An earlier update on March 10th introduced the colorful international lineup of Veloce QRF, the team in 2nd place of the 8-way competition. The update included the video of the team's competition rounds. However, the best 8-way video of the event has not been posted yet, and it can now be reviewed.

Paraclete's XP8 lineup was not as mixed up as the international Veloce lineup, however, it included the same number of former 8-way world champions as Veloce (Damien Sorlin, Martial Ferre). Brian "BK" Krause and Kirk Verner came back with the same XP8 lineup as in 2014 and won with a 27.0 average.

Damien Sorlin at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2015
Brian Krause and the two French 8-way world champions knew each other well after competing for the gold medals at the World Meet 2010 in Menzelinsk. Damien Sorlin and Martial Ferre won that battle, while Brian Krause's US Army lineup took the 1st place two years later at the Mondial Dubai 2012. The next Golden Knights lineup under Sean Sweeney's captainship defended the gold medals successfully in 2014.

Damien Sorlin and Martial Ferre brought three teams to the Paraclete 8-way indoor competition and trained them before the meet weekend. They both competed with Veloce and placed 2nd. Martial Ferre was also coaching the Swiss national 8-way team VIVA who he has been working together with for several years.

Damien Sorlin, Martial Ferre's brother-in-law, had to be careful after injuring his neck during the indoor competition. He braved it out and flew with a brace for the remainder of the meet.

Damien Sorlin was also the Veloce player coach for Paul Hofstee at the Paraclete 8-way competition. The Thunder ISR member explained to the Sun Path Products NSL News that the new Thunder/Hayabusa 8-way team has hired him as the 8-way coach for the 2015 season.

Damien Sorlin is also indirectly involved in the 4-way Women competition between the French Girls and the Golden Knights, as Dannielle Woosley explained in the video clip recorded during a short NSL Talk break at Paraclete. His daughter Clementine Le Bohec is one of the two new French Girls members who will try to defend the French Girls' gold medals against the Golden Knights next year at Skydive Chicago.

On top of that, Clementine Bohec's boyfriend Dennis Praet will have to listen carefully what directions his future father-in-law Damien Sorlin may give him - which will only be in 8-way training and competition for now...
