posted May 2nd, 2015 - The Paraclete XP Indoor and Outdoor Championships have offered a unique and attractive combination for Formation Skydiving competition teams in 2014 and 2015.

The teams still had to travel from Raeford (North Carolina) to DeLand (Florida) to attend both events. However, the indoor/outdoor combo required only one week of time, including both weekends, unless teams extended the visit for additional training before or after the meets.

A new indoor/outdoor combo has now been added to the 2015 schedule, and it does not require additional traveling, once the teams have arrived at the location of both events.

Dubai is hosting this new combo, which begins with the Clash of Champions at Inflight Dubai (November 25th - December 1st), followed by the World Air Games at Skydive Dubai (December 2 - 11).

The outdoor competition in 4-way Open, 4-way Women and 8-way Open is scheduled for the same time when the Dubai International Parachuting Championship (DIPC) usually takes place.

The Clash of Champions is a new event that offers a total jackpot of $200,000 cash for several different events.

The World Air Games allows only a limited number of invited teams to compete at the event, while the Clash of Champions will be open to all teams. XL member Pete Allum is the Formation Skydiving co-ordinator and Chief Judge for the indoor competition at Inflight Dubai.

He informed the Sun Path Products NSL News that he will be running 4-way competition in three different categories (AAA - AA - A).

There will also be an 8-way competition with the same rules as at the Paraclete 8-way event, plus a "fun and special 1-round competition at the end".

Only two major indoor events, World Challenge and ISR Grand Prix, have included all NSL 4-way categories in their events so far.

The Clash of Champions is the next major event where A Class teams will also have their opportunity to join the best 4-way teams in the world in a live competition.

The exact breakdown of the $200,000 jackpot has not been published yet, however, the Clash of Champions could become the first major 4-way competition where AA and A Class teams might also take home some cash.

The indoor/outdoor event combo will only be an option for the national teams who are invited for the World Air Games at the same time. The invitations were sent to ten 4-way Open Class teams, six teams in 4-way Women and another six in 8-way Open.

All other teams who competed at the Clash of Champions can stay for a vacation on the Palm Jumeirah Island and watch the outdoor competition, or add an outdoor training camp at Skydive Dubai next door...
