Did You Know...

... that the Clash of Champions has a jackpot of $33,000 for AA and A Class teams?

Clash of Champions at Inflight Dubai
posted May 11th, 2015 - The Sun Path Products NSL News introduced a new indoor/outdoor competition package with the story on May 2nd.

The first event information of the indoor part, the "Clash of Champions" at Inflight Dubai, included the good news that the $200,000 jackpot will include cash prizes for teams who compete in categories that usually don't have a share of the jackpot.

Formation Skydiving coordinator and Chief Judge Pete Allum said that he will be running the 4-way competition in three different categories (AAA - AA - A).

Details of the jackpot have recently been published, and the host is keeping the promise to offer prize money for teams in all categories and indoor disciplines.

8-way competition in Paraclete's 16-foot chamber
The best 4-way teams in the world will compete for a total of $31,000 in the AAA Class competition. NMP-PCH Hayabusa and Arizona Airspeed have the $15,000 for the 1st place as the target, and the loser of this battle still takes home $10,000 cash.

There are $6,000 for the 3rd place in the AAA Class, which will feature the toughest competition, depending on the field in this category.

There are probably ten 4-way teams in the world behind Hayabusa and Airspeed who can post a 25+ average, and the field for the Clash of Champions is not limited to national 4-way teams.

The prize money for the 8-way competition beats the cash for the AAA Class teams. A total of $57,000 will be shared ($25,000 - $20,000 - $12,000) between the best 8-way teams in the world.

The 16-foot chamber at Inflight Dubai offers the same space and rules for the 8-way teams as the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship does.

Takes a break this year: Dubai International Parachuting Championship
The prize money for the AA and A Class teams is also something that has not been seen yet in the history of the sport.

The three best AA Class teams receive a total of $20,000 ($10,000 - $7,000 - $3,000) while the A Class teams share a total of $13,000 ($7,000 - $4,000 - $2,000) for the three winners.

There is additional cash for the other tunnel flying disciplines, as well: Dynamic 2-way ($10,000 - $8,000 - $5,000), Dynamic 4-way ($15,000 - $10,000 - $6,000), Best Trick ($6,000 - $4,000 - $2,000) and Surprise ($6,000).

The total jackpot for the Clash of Champions is very similar to the one at the annual Dubai International Parachuting Championship. Last year's event paid out over $150,000 to teams and competitors in Dubai.

The DIPC takes a break this year and makes room for the World Air Games in December, which has no prize money attached to the rankings of the invited national teams.
