Did You Know...

... that Florida posted the first Indoor Cloud League scores for June at iFLY Orlando?

Focus on slots and two sequences: DeLand Flashpoint
posted Jun 6th, 2015 - Florida's Indoor Cloud League team submitted the first videos and scores for the new June sequences after last Thursday's FSL Tunnel Kicker at iFLY Orlando.

Five lineups created the scores for the six sequences, including AA Class team DeLand Flashpoint.

The complete lineup focused only on the two sequences, which could be drawn for any AA Class competition. The monthly draw of the six sequences always overlaps between two neighboring categories to make it more interesting for the participating teams and competitors.

The sequences for four of the six categories (AA - A - RRR - RR) could also be drawn for the upper neighboring competition class.

DeLand Flashpoint competes in the AA/Intermediate Class, and the AA and A Class sequences could both be drawn for their category.

Flashpoint also experimented with the slots and eventually made it onto the new leaderboard with the 16-pointer for the A Class sequence.

Upper hand: Flashpoint rookies
The AA Class sequence (K,6,9) could also be drawn for any AAA Class competition. Hal Spence and James Hall, team mates for AAA Class team DeLand Momentum, joined forces with Sebastian Jimenez and Kurt Gaebel to take on the two longest sequences. The AAA Class sequence (E,6,O,9) once again included slot switchers as a test for all AAA Class teams and competitors.

The same lineup also performed the A Class sequence (K,E,6) to warm up. However, the ICL rules allow the same lineup to score only in two neighboring categories, and the Florida team needed the AAA Class score for June's opening leaderboard.

Two Flashpoint members (Jairo Garcia, Alix Raymond) also teamed up with Hal Spence and Jimmy Xu, who recently competed with Southern Mix at the season opener of the Southern Skydiving League. This lineup had a good internal battle with Flashpoint and posted the 26-pointer for the RRR Class sequence.

Tied in RRR Class: Veteran rookies
Two Rookie Class lineups had a great internal competition, as well. Sebastian Jimenez and James Hall guided Bob Palatka and new ICL competitor Perry Sheldon through the ICL night at iFLY Orlando, while Flashpoint members Steve Hubbard and Jim Prochaska helped the other two Rookie Class competitors, Michael Rendon and Nicolas Davis.

Both teams tied their RRR Class scores, and the Flashpoint lineup had the upper hand in the other two Rookie Class categories. Perry Sheldon is a veteran skydiver but was brandnew to the FSL Tunnel Kicker 4-way program. He knows the rules and volunteered to buy adult beverages at the end of the Indoor Cloud League night.

The Florida teams will go back to iFLY Orlando and improve the scores later this month.
