NCSL Director Lori Connor reported from Skydance in Davis that it was a successful event: "Relaxed vibe, warm and sunny, friendly winds with everyone having a super fun time while learning lots! We got our fast rides to 13k all day in SkyDance's Super Van and our exits made easier with its nice big door! Thanks Ray for the great ride!"
"Bryan Siepert was our wonderful judge for the day and was sequestered all day in the Pilot Lounge ... but got to spend time with the teams in between judging. Bryan was called upon at the end of the day to break a tie between 2nd and 3rd place in the A Class."

It was not only very competitive between A Class teams Semaphore and Last Minute last Saturday. The same three teams who were in the Top 3 positions in Davis had been even closer to each other at the NCSL season opener in Lodi, where it was only a 2-point difference between 1st and 3rd place.
Semaphore and Moisties were tied with exactly the same total of 19 points for the 2nd place after four rounds in May. Last Saturday, Semaphore was in a new deadlock with Last Minute and came out in 2nd place.

Flair Fare was back in the same category, as well, and had work to do to fend off High Anxiety, who were back after attending all six NCSL meets last year and missing the 2015 season opener. Only two points separated Flair Fare and High Anxiety after the four rounds.
The next scheduled NCSL event is a skill camp in July. Lori Connor will soon post more information at the league's Facebook page. She also said that the participants of last weekend's competition will get first priority at registration for tonight's NCSL Tunnel Kicker at iFLY SF Bay, where the currently posted Indoor Cloud League scores from Florida are the target: "It should be super fun."
