Did You Know...

... that NMP-PCH Hayabusa want to unify the FAI/IPC indoor/outdoor titles at the Hurricane Factory?

Plans to continue: Paul Mayer
posted Jun 18th, 2015 - The World Challenge at Bodyflight Bedford has been the unofficial indoor world championship for several years.

There are other big and relevant indoor events, such as the ISR Grand Prix in Roosendaal, the Wind Games, the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship and the Aerokart Indoor Championship.

However, no other indoor competition draws as many teams from so many different countries as the World Challenge does.

Paul Mayer will surely continue with the annual event, and he was actually speaking of the 11th World Challenge during the live coverage of the World Challenge 2015.

There is a new player in the game of indoor competition, as the Sun Path Products NSL News reported on May 13th.

The Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI) authorized the International Parachuting Commission (IPC) to introduce, sanction and organize indoor world cups and world meets.

FAI/IPC world cup champions: Bad Boys
The first FAI World Cup of Indoor Skydiving was held at iFLY Austin in November last year, and FAI/IPC follow up with the 1st FAI World Indoor Skydiving Championships at the Hurricane Factory in late October this year.

The unofficial indoor world champion of 2015, World Challenge winner NMP-PCH Hayabusa, will be ready to add the first FAI/IPC gold medals for this new event in Prague, Czech Republic. Hayabusa did not compete at FAI/IPC's first world cup in Austin, Texas, where the Bad Boys won the first 4-way Open Class gold medals.

The reigning 4way outdoor world champions have signed up for the world meet in Prague and will most likely add the official FAI/IPC indoor title to the Belgian collection. Chances are little that Arizona Airspeed will also compete in Prague and challenge the unofficial indoor world champions, as the USPA Nationals start right after the indoor competition.

Unofficial indoor world champions: NMP-PCH Hayabusa
It will still be a feast for 4-way fans and teams at the Hurricane Factory to watch the Belgian world champions in action. NMP-PCH Hayabusa won the World Challenge for the first time in 2011 and have not been defeated at any indoor competition ever since.

The new lineup, with Jeroen "Bob" Nollett for Roy Janssen in the Tail slot, was defeated by Evolution's 2014 lineup at the 5th Dubai International Parachuting Championship, while the indoor winning streak since 2011 is still alive after the 1st place at the Wind Games 2015 and at the World Challenge 2015.

Hayabusa wants to place the first FAI/IPC indoor gold medals right next to the outdoor gold medals to confirm the world's top spot. The two youngest team members, Dennis Praet and Jeroen Nollett, don't even know the feeling of finishing behind any team. Both have never lost an indoor competition yet...
