... that last weekend's meet videos show the Remscheid potential?

Remscheid at the April meet of the Florida Skydiving League
posted Jul 1st, 2015 - The Sun Path Products NSL News update on June 28th included the competition videos of the German team AtomiX, one of the expected medal contenders at this year's national championships.

AtomiX had finished last weekend's 8-round battle with Remscheid at a regional event, the Nord Cup 2015, one point behind in 2nd place. Remscheid, with a very experienced lineup of German national 4-way and 8-way champions in the past two decades, was the favorite in this 2-team battle and did not expect the younger and newer team to be so close.

However, videos of Remscheid's eight competition rounds at the Nord Cup are now showing that the team has the potential to increase the scoring level once again significantly before the final showdown at the German Nationals 2015.

Remscheid had started the 2015 season with a training camp in DeLand in April and finished it off with the six rounds of the Florida Skydiving League April meet. The 14.3 average served only as the definition of the starting point for the new lineup this year.

Two months later, Remscheid now posted a 16.0 average after the eight rounds at the Nord Cup, which is still only a cornerstone on the road to the desired 17+ average at the national championships at the beginning of September.

The 17+ average as the team's goal would not be a surprise for the team members and the opponents, as Thomas "Spieli" Spielvogel, Uli Sehrbrock, Steffen Schiedek and Kai Wolf have performed on this scoring level before.

Thomas Spielvogel was a member of the German national 4-way team EADS who posted an 18.8 average at the World Meet 2006 in Germany. Airbus 4-way and 8-way members Olaf Biedermann and Goran Meyer were his team mates in 2006, with who he will be competing once again this year in 8-way.

Uli Sehrbrock and Steffen Schiedek have posted 17+ averages for Remscheid several times together, and they peak-performed with an 18.7 average at the German Nationals 2009. Kai Wolf was on the German national 4-way team even earlier and followed up later on high performance levels with US teams.

AtomiX has to make sure to arrive at the same level early enough this year. The 17+ average level will be the benchmark on the way to this year's silver medals...
