Did You Know...

... that NSL-TV features last weekend's AAA Class showdown?

Team mates in Dubai: Amanda Lampton and Christy West
posted Jul 28th, 2015 - Last weekend's leaderboard of the Texas Shootout 2015 is now completely up-to-date. Meet Director Devon Shows, Spaceland Lite member for many years, provided the latest team photos and the lineups of all teams at the meet.

There were a few interesting changes. Heart of Texas had Amanda Lampton in the driver's seat, who helped the team to move up to the level of USPA medal contention, as the Sun Path Products NSL News reported on July 25th.

Amanda Lampton is familiar with the competitive atmosphere in the battle for USPA medals. She won bronze with Dallas Khaos Black at the USPA Nationals 2014. Then she won a silver medal and cash with the US 4-way Women team at the 5th Dubai International Parachuting Championship. She is also running the Indoor Cloud League activities at iFLY Dallas.

Spaceland Lite's 2015 lineup
Spaceland Lite member Christy West was Amanda Lampton's team mate in Dubai last December. Lite did not compete last weekend, as the team members were involved in running the meet and helping the teams.

Christy West was the player coach for AA Class team Crazy Crew. Her Spaceland Lite team mate Katrina Shows was filming the team. She was also on camera for SpaceCoast.

Spaceland Lite has a new lineup, as the Sun Path Products NSL News reported on March 23rd. David Grabowski, former member of Fallout, Fugitives and Misfits, joined the team and has taken Richard Rothery's slot.

Took a chance: Free Radicals
NSL-TV now features the most competitive part of last weekend's duel between the teams from Texas and Northern Plains. The Free Radicals had challenged the only AAA Class team at Spaceland, Texas Crush, to battle it out over a case of beer.

The NPSL team was able to keep up in three of the six rounds with only 1-point differences, and lost two points in Round 5. The Texas team eventually crushed the Free Radicals in Round 6.

The Free Radicals took a chance by challenging the all-female Texas team. Texas Crush had posted a 15.6 average at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2015, which was a hint for the NPSL team, who had a 7.8 outdoor average in the records this year. There could be a re-match if the NPSL teams re-scheduled their September meet to the 12th when teams in Texas have the Dallas Super Cup on the agenda...
