Did You Know...

... that It is a technically challenging competition draw in Germany?

6 points ahead in 2nd place: AtomiX
posted Sep 2nd, 2015 - Solly Williams and Luc Verstrepen wrapped up the second meet day at the German Nationals 2015 with a summary of the 4-way action and a new COACHES CORNER video clip.

National team Airbus Illertissen picked up the pace at the faster sequences after Round 3, while FSC Remscheid's 4-way veterans were hoping to begin catching up with AtomiX, a young 4-way team of a newer generation in Germany.

It did not happen, and AtomiX eventually extended the lead in the battle for the silver medals to six points. Both teams completed approx. 200 training jumps this year, AtomiX with coach Luc Verstrepen in Europe, and Remscheid had coach Solly Williams at a training camp in DeLand. Neva, the team with the longest standing unchanged lineup in Germany is currently in 4th place.

The AAA Class leaderboard also includes two German teams who are registered for the 4-way Women category. Germany is one of the very few countries, who have a separate set of national medals for the official IPC category. Schmetterding is three points ahead of Air Catch after Round 5.

The sequence of Round 7 will slow down the AAA Class teams on Thursday morning before the last three rounds will allow them to improve the meet averages again. It is a technically challenging competition draw over all ten rounds, as the six slot switching blocks were separated from each other in six different sequences.

There are tight races in the other two categories, with teams tied in medal positions, and it might become an exciting battle in the last rounds of the meet.
