The first update on September 7th mentioned that the French Freefly team Solaris (Loic Perrouin, Pierre Rabuel) had the Fun Flag at the beginning of the event.
Possession changed a few times, and the Fun Flag went once again through a few interesting adventures after its latest travel to the Netherlands.
Speed Skydiving competitor Moritz Friess was involved in the adventures for a little while and provided the Sun Path Products NSL News with a live update in Teuge.
The conversation revealed that he and the currently fastest skydiver on the planet, Marco Wiederkehr from Switzerland, had their own time with the Fun Flag.
His favorite event was officially included in FAI world meets for the first time at the World Parachuting Championships 2014 in Prostejov. His speed of 511.23 km/h became the first official world record.
He followed up last week in Teuge where he improved the fastest freefall time to 525.79 km/h in the last round. It's not the top speed that determines the winner in this event. It's the average speed for 1000 meters (2700 - 1700) that is recorded by ProTracks and special software.
The Swiss/German fun group took the Fun Flag on a Red-Light night tour to the city of Deventer, including a visit at the local police station. Thus, it took a little longer to bring the Flag back to the competition area, where the Swiss delegation left it up to the Germans to place it at a proper location.
That was the end of the Fun Flag adventure for Marco Wiederkehr. The German team AtomiX YUU then tried to protect the flag and still had to watch how the Austrian team Final Fire surprisingly captured it right in front of their eyes. It seems like the Fun Flag has traveled to Austria after the end of the World Cup 2015. Marco Wiederkehr now hopes that the most recent stories will "help the younger skydiver to learn about the legendary history of the Fun Flag!"
