... that NSL-TV introduces the new French national 4-way Open Class team?

French Girls delegation in Teuge
posted Sep 22nd, 2015 - The Sun Path Products NSL News story on September 15th included the mixed leaderboard between the best 4-way Open Class teams at the FAI World Cup 2015 and the French national team in 4-way Women, the French Girls.

The mixed leaderboard became a regular feature of the Sun Path Products NSL News at the major international events ever since Aerokart Deep Blue came dangerously close to the medal level in the 4-way Open Class competition.

This year in Teuge, the French Girls finished in 4th place on the mixed leaderboard, four points behind the bronze medal position (VR4 France) and six points behind the silver medals (Black Cat) in the 4-way Open Class. The French Girls also won the gold medals in 4-way Women, of course.

French 4-way Open Class lineup in Teuge
The mixed leaderboard also features an internal French 4-way competition, where the three national teams ended up in 3rd, 4th and 5th place, which is the perfect order from the French perspective. VR4 France is the new national 4-way team in the 4-way Open Class, the French Girls are the national team in 4-way Women, and Artemis Saumur is the official national B-Team.

The internal French competition between the three national teams had additional special aspects that made the situation even more interesting. The Point for the new Open Class team, Laurence Herve, was a member of the French Girls between 2012 and 2014 and has won two gold medals, one as the injured alternate in 2012, and the second one last year in Prostejov.

Former French national coach Jeremie Rollett then selected her for the new Open Class lineup after the World Meet 2014. Now she competed against her former French Girls team mates, Sophia Pecout and Christine Malnis, only on the mixed leaderboard, of course.

French national B-Team Artemis Saumur in Teuge
French Girls member Clementine Le Bohec trained and competed with Artemis Saumur before she was selected for the new French Girls lineup. She outscored her former team mates and her new national coach Mathieu Bernier, who took her slot as a player coach for Artemis Saumur. However, the French B-Team kept up well with the two national teams in several rounds and eventually tied the French highscore in Round 9.

The Sun Path Products NSL News asked the new French national team in the 4-way Open Class for a live NSL Talk conversation after the conclusion of the meet, and all members agreed to introduce themselves to the SKYLEAGUE.COM audience for the first time.

It will not be the last time, as the team has a 4-year plan. The first set of medals at the team's first major international competition was a good start into the 4-year period. Meet the team live on NSL-TV...
