Did You Know...

... that Belgium outscored the Czech Republic in five categories?

Small country between France and Germany: Belgium
posted Oct 3rd, 2015 - Belgium is not only currently hosting the reigning 4-way world champions, NMP-PCH Hayabusa. Formation Skydiving competition in the small European country, geographically located between France and Germany, has been growing, and Belgian teams appear regularly on different leaderboards.

This year, the organizers of the national championships in Belgium and the Czech Republic coordinated and synchronized the competition draw for their events, which created an interesting leaderboard on the last weekend of August.

Teams from Belgium won all four NSL categories, and they even swept the three top spots on the AA and Rookie Class leaderboards. The AAA Class leaderboard had the teams from the two countries taking turns in perfect order, and the two Czech A Class teams also managed to mix up the leaderboard more than in the other two categories.

NMP-PCH Hayabusa at the FAI World Cup 2015
NSL-TV now presents the Belgian 4-way champions of 2015 in all four categories with a few of their competition rounds. The video footage was kindly provided by Belgian event organizers Gilles Ooms and Herman Perdu, and it also includes three rounds of the Belgian national team in 4-way Women, Les Stunts, who placed 2nd behind Hayabusa at the national championships, and 3rd behind Bad Boys on the AAA Class overall leaderboard.

Hayabusa and Bad Boys are the national 4-way teams in the Open Class, while Les Stunts and Czech Ladies have both competed for their countries in 4-way Women. Belgium was not surprisingly far ahead of the Czech teams in both events.

Of the four national teams, only NMP-PCH Hayabusa also made the trip to the FAI World Cup 2015 shortly after the national championship weekend to win the next set of FAI gold medals for Belgium.

Last meet in the Rookie Class: Jetmax
The two Belgian teams in the AA Class top spots have been on several previous leaderboards, as well. Winner Fast Forward completed the team's second year in the AA Class, while Hoppaaaa advanced from the Rookie Class of 2013 to the A Class last year and the AA Class in 2015. By the way: Dennis Praet's father Paul finished in 3rd place on the AA Class leaderboard.

Sunny Side Up (A) and Jetmax (Rookie) won the other two categories for Belgium. Jetmax has now left the Rookie Class behind after the national championships and moved up into the A Class for the Bodyflight Revenge 2015. The Sun Path Products NSL News will follow up soon with an update from Bedford.

The Belgian 8-way teams have also completed their national championship event in the meantime, and Thund8rbirds won with a 16.3 average. The 8-way update is in the works, as well...
