posted Nov 8th, 2015 - The Sun Path Products NSL News started the coverage of the USPA Nationals 2015 on October 25th with an update of the VFS 4-way competition.

The event was completed while the other 4-way teams used the last opportunity for any training and warm-up jumps on Sunday. SDC Core won with the highest meet average that was posted at any outdoor competition this year. The first VFS story included the complete leaderboard and an overview of the current international situation.

Team captain Jason Russell and the newest team member, Ryan Risberg, were available for a live NSL Talk interview before the VFS award ceremony on Sunday evening. They provided insights of the team development between the beginning of the 2014 season and the gold medals in Eloy.

SDC Core had a different lineup until the USPA Nationals 2014 where the team won the bronze medals with a 16.3 average. Jason Russell, Stephanie Strange and Derek Cox had selected Dusty Hanks for the open 4th slot at a try-out before last year's nationals. Derek Cox discontinued after the event, and SDC Core then invited Ryan Risberg, who was a candidate in the same earlier try-out.

The new lineup (Dusty Hanks, Ryan Risberg, Jason Russell, Stephanie Strange, with Jake Jensen on camera) started training and had their first competition at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2015. They followed up at the outdoor meet in DeLand a week later and now won the USPA gold medals, plus the qualification for the Mondial 2016 on their home turf.

Jason Russell said that his team is aware of the international top position after the 20.6 average in Eloy. However, they have great respect for the French coach Philippe Schorno and his potential to bring back the new French national VFS team Transfert to the top level. They also expect the Russian Flystation team and Canada's Evolution VFS lineup to be tough competition for next year.
