Did You Know...

... that the Flyspot Open 2015 featured a complete family team in the Rookie Class?

Still in 8th place of world indoor rankings: Les Stunts
posted Nov 22nd, 2015 - The latest scores on the SKYLEAGUE.COM leaderboard came from Poland, where the 2nd Flyspot Open Championship 2015 was held on the November 14/15 weekend.

The host added the AA Class to the competition format this year, which brought a total of five more teams to the Flyspot event, compared to the inaugural event last year. A total of 16 teams now competed in all four NSL categories.

Three of the four leaderboards featured exciting battles for the top spots and had international participation.

The Sun Path Products NSL News reported on November 14th that the AAA Class competition presented a unique situation, with three all-female lineups in this category.

In fact, all three teams (Les Stunts - No Mercy - SolarFlakes) are actually the current national teams in 4-way Women for their countries (Belgium - Poland - Lithuania).

New team record average in AA: Equinox from Lithuania
The same story mentioned that the home team No Mercy would have the opportunity to get past Les Stunts in the SKYLEAGUE.COM World Indoor Team Rankings.

It did not happen, as Les Stunts won the meet with a new 20.5 team record average at Flyspot, which solidified the 8th place in the rankings.

No Mercy finished with a new team record average, as well, and the 19.4 still keeps the Polish team only shortly behind Les Stunts (18.9 - 18.7) in the world rankings.

The SolarFlakes increased their best average as much as the two teams ahead of them and are currently in 13th place.

The averages of all three AAA Class teams were boosted by the Super Sequence in Round 9 (A,M,F,E,L) that Les Stunts won with a 39-pointer.

1st place in A Class: Jetmax from Belgium
The AA Class leaderboard featured teams from the same three nations, Belgium (Team Rudi), Lithuania (Equinox) and Poland with three teams.

Equinox attended the team's second meet in the AA Class after the 15.2 average at the World Challenge 2015.

The 16.8 average at Flyspot won the meet and is the new team record average in this category.

The Flyspot Chicks were still in the A Class in Bedford when Equinox competed in the higher category for the first time.

The home team gave Equinox a very good run for the top spot and had to settle for the silver medals.

Team Rudi from Belgium followed the Flyspot Chicks path from A Class in Bedford to AA Class in Poland and ended up in 5th place.

Parents and two daughters: Olczyk Fly Team
As in the AAA Class, the competition in the A Class had also teams from three different nations, with two of them battling it out for the 1st place. Jetmax won the second set of gold medals for the Belgian delegation at the team's second meet in the A Class.

Belgium's opponent in this battle came from the Czech Republic. The Flyspot Open 2015 was Zoonte's first indoor competition this year, after attending three outdoor meets during the summer season in the Czech Republic.

The third team in this category represented the host, and the CRW Team stepped up into the A Class after competing in the Rookie Class last year.

The Rookie Class competition featured a very special team. The Olczyk Fly Team consists of a complete family: Father Marek Olczyk and mother Agnieszka, with daughters Dominika (15) and Zaneta Olczyk (16). Gordon Hodgkinson reported from Poland that the sisters and daughters both have done one tandem jump with their father as the tandem instructor.

They formed the Olczyk Fly Team this summer after attending the monthly 4-way Scrambles at Flyspot.
