Did You Know...

... that France is the biggest player in 4-way Formation Skydiving at the Clash of Champions?

Weembi lineup at the Clash of Champions
posted Nov 26th, 2015 - The first day of the Clash of Champions is over, and the scores after four rounds speak their own language. In addition, the professional media work of the host, including the live streaming during the event hours, brings the meet atmosphere to the audience in a very entertaining way, anchored by Regan Tetlow and Ged Parker.

The highly anticipated showdown between NMP-PCH Hayabusa and Arizona Airspeed is as exciting as expected, and it is as challenging for the teams behind the three top teams to find a slot in the Top 10 as it was predicted by the Sun Path Products NSL News.

There is a third team that mixes with the two top contenders, and the team name (Weembi Lille) appears for the second time on a SKYLEAGUE.COM leaderboard.

Only one team member is back for the second meet, and Julien Degen now has three other 4-way Open Class world champions (Mathieu Bernier, Guillaume Bernier, Roy Janssen) in his lineup. He had competed with French Girls Sophia Pecout and Christine Malnis, plus French 8-way world champion Thomas Perrin, for Weembi Lille at the World Challenge 2015.

Solly Williams with David Grauwels and Gary Smith
The Weembi Lille lineup in Dubai completed three hours of wind tunnel time before challenging the two best 4-way teams in the world. The question is how long the French/Belgian combination will be able to keep up with the breath-taking pace of the well trained top teams.

Solly Williams, who has brought the Golden Knights up to the level right behind the top of the 4-way Open Class world, expects Weembi Lille to stay close to the gold medal position.

He said that the competition draw favors a pickup team with four extremely well skilled former and reigning 4-way world champions.

France is not only filling the Top 10 spots behind Hayabusa and Airspeed with teams in 4-way Open. France is also the major 4-way Formation Skydiving player at the Clash of Champions 2015 in the other categories.

Francoise Simons with Amelie Tirman and Ak'demie competitors
Several teams with competitors of younger 4-way generations caught the attention of the Sun Path Products NSL News not for the first time.

The new NSL-TV video clip introduces the French 4-way delegation as much as possible, which is in many ways related to the Aerokart Ak'demie 4-way project that 2010 Deep Blue world champion in 4-way Women, Francoise Simons, launched in 2012, and that she has run together with coach Marin Ferre ever since.

Three teams with Ak'demie youngsters compete in Dubai, one in each of the three categories. Most of their parents are competing at the same event, and they have a very hard time to keep up with their sons and daughters.

Ak'demie 1 is ahead of Monaco Vitalsea in the AAA Class where father Stephane Mattoni is fortunate enough that his son Tom competes in the AA Class. Aerokart Ak'demie's A Class lineup is far ahead of two teams with more parents in the same category (Blue Phenix, Last Minute).

Francoise Simons and Marin Ferre explained for the Sun Path Products NSL News how the project is developing beyond and after the Clash of Champions.
