Did You Know...

... that iFLY Orlando won the Indoor Cloud League November competition by one point?

Bad Boys at the Clash of Champions
posted Dec 15th, 2015 - The exciting recent events in Dubai required most of the attention of the Sun Path Products NSL News. The pace is slowing down now, at least for the outdoor competition world, while the world's wind tunnels will continue to run, even throughout the winter season in colder areas.

It is time to catch up with other interesting news and events that took place while the Clash of Champions 2015 and the World Air Games 2015 featured most of the best indoor and outdoor competitors in the world.

November's Indoor Cloud League competition was completed in the meantime, and the new BEST OF THE MONTH video includes two teams who also competed at the Clash of Champions 2015, the Bad Boys from the Czech Republic, who posted a 20.7 average at Inflight Dubai, and A Class winner Flying Circus.

1st place: Flying Circus at the Clash of Champions
In fact, the Czech delegation at Inflight Dubai might have won a prize for the most successful nation, with two sets of gold medals (HF Chicks - AA, Flying Circus - A), Hvezdy in 5th place of the AA Class competition and the Bad Boys.

Flying Circus and Bad Boys were soon back for the second meet of the ETL (European Tunnel League) winter season on December 9th, while HF Chicks and Hvezdy took a break after their trip to Dubai.

Flying Circus is done with the A Class now and uses the indoor meets of the ETL winter season to become familiar with the AA Class dive pool. The 15.7 average in November, followed by the 16.0 average on December 8th, show a great start into the new category and promise medal contention at next year's indoor meets.

Flying Circus did not win the A Class of the ICL November competition though. Richard Bisson's Slim Jim lineup outscored the Czech team by one point at SkyVenture Montreal, while his daughter Valerie Bisson traveled to Dubai to win the bronze medals in 4-way Women at the World Air Games. Slim Jim posted the highscore for the RRR sequence, as well.

Father Richard Bisson and son Yannick also joined forces for the AAA and AA November sequences. Katie Woods and Valerie Poulin completed SkyVenture Montreal's linup for these two categories.

Then Katie Woods posted the 24-pointer for the RR sequence. She had a new Canadian family lineup for this category: Father JF, mother Stephanie and daughter Coralie Boudreault. She said that Coralie Boudreault and Yannick Bisson had won an IBA 2-way competition before they joined forces for the 4-way sequence.

Katie Woods said that they were well prepared: "The 2-way dive pool isn't that easy, JC (new Evolution member) and I flew it a little in Toronto, and you have to be really on it mentally 'cause it goes fast!!! But it’s so much fun!"

She is impressed with new 4-way competitor Coralie Boudreault: "Coralie is amazing. She's a super sweet kid and really talented! She's only been flying for one year but didn’t fly at all April to August. She had flown about two hours before I started coaching her, and since then we flew four hours."

Katie Woods' mission was to get the youngster ready for the IBA competition with Yannick Bisson: "She did a bunch of 1-on-1, flying three times a week. We only had just over a month to prepare, and she got seriously good! Then she started training with Yannick, three times a week."

The 2-way team posted a 38-point average and won. Coralie Boudreault's parents are both skydivers who only recently started. Katie Woods flew some 4-way sessions with the 2-way team and mother Stephanie before the Boudreault family 3-way with Katie Woods posted the 24-pointer in November.

Katie Woods said that Coralie Boudreault also flew with Richard and Valerie Bisson in training lineups and with other Fuzion members: "She keeps up pretty well. She’s going to be one to watch!"

She said that the new iFLY Toronto tunnel is also hosting a 4-way project for juniors, and there are two lineups by now. Hopefully they will also join the Indoor Cloud League competition soon...
