Did You Know...

... that four iFLY Orlando lineups added enough Indoor Cloud League points to tie the December lead?

Small group of ICL competitors last Thursday at iFLY Orlando
posted Dec 19th, 2015 - It did not take too long until Florida's Indoor Cloud League team responded to the first December scores of the Hurricane Factory.

A smaller group met again at iFLY Orlando last Thursday, just a day before Jan Klapka provided the Czech scores and videos, which had created the 138-point total for the month and the December lead. The Florida group recruited four different lineups, who eventually added a total of 32 points to iFLY Orlando's December account.

The combination of the best Florida scores on December 3rd and last week generated a total of 138 points, which matches the total of the Czech group. Hurricane Factory and iFly Orlando are now tied in 1st place with the same total of 138 points.

iFLY Orlando had experienced a camera failure at the ICL event on December 3rd and missed a score for the R Class sequence, which Kanishka Perera, James Hall, Jean Reilly and Kurt Gaebel had performed for iFLY Orlando at the very end of the flying session. The camera shut off before the flying sequence could be recorded.

A new lineup tried again last Thursday, and the footage was available this time. Player coach Hal Spence guided Donna Kim and Anne Cooney through the three Rookie Class sequences. His 8-way team mate Randy Cutlip helped him as the second player coach.

Hal Spence had his new Indoor Cloud League competitors well prepared after a training session the same night. Donna Kim and Anne Cooney both made it to the Indoor Cloud League leaderboard for the first time.

Double duties and slot switchers: Hal Spence (2nd left) and Sebastian Jimenez (right)
Randy Cutlip was also in the A Class lineup (Cathy Luo, Nick Davis, James Hall) who improved the previous score (19) by two points. The same lineup also tied iFLY Orlando's standing 30-pointer in the RRR Class, while the 32-pointer for the RR Class sequence served only as a warm-up sequence. The Indoor Cloud League rules allow lineups two perform only in two neighboring categories.

James Hall had double duties, as well. He performed the AAA and AA sequences and helped to add a point for the slot switching AAA Class sequence. His AAA/AA team mates Sebastian Jimenez and Kurt Gaebel posted competitive A/RRR/RR scores with Siddarth Choudhury and Amer Kassas, which did not make it to the ICL leaderboard.

Sebastian Jimenez and Hal Spence then had to deal with the AAA Class memory in the front piece. It was a challenging night for the player coaches, which was rewarded with the total of 138 points for the December sequences.
