... that the preview of the World Challenge 2016 begins with the current AAA Class field?

For the medals at the Mondial 2016: Black Cat
posted Feb 12th, 2016 - The preview of the 4-way Spring Tour 2016 begins with the AAA/Open Class competition at the World Challenge 2016. The event in Bedford is the last one in the traditional 3-meet series early in the competition season.

However, early registration is in full swing, and the Sun Path Products NSL News is taking a closer look at the teams who have signed up for the AAA/Open Class competition at this point in time.

The AAA Class field consists of teams from seven different nations by now, including five national teams: Black Cat (Russia), FLY-IN (France), Tigers (Finland), Lupus (Estonia), Savolo (South Africa). Black Cat and FLY-IN will probably be in the mix of teams for the bronze medals at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving at the Mondial 2016.

The SKYLEAGUE.COM leaderboard shows the currently registered teams in three different categories.

Nine of the teams attended indoor meets last year and are ranked according to their overall 2015 indoor averages. The rankings disregard any personnel changes.

Black Cat and FLY-IN have come back this year with the same lineups, while SDC Rhythm XP brings the new 2016 lineup to all three events of the Spring Tour 2016.

Co-Motion and Tigers are both back with the same lineups as in 2015. Co-Motion was one of the positive surprises at the World Challenge 2015, while Finland's national 4-way team competes in Bedford for the first time.

ACM comes back with two 2015 members: Hari Ganapathy, Gareth Hicks. Former Raykipo member Marc Fletcher joins the team for a special treat at the World Challenge 2016. Reigning 4-way world champion and former Hayabusa Tail Roy Janssen is in the Bedford lineup.

Lupus competed for Estonia with the same lineup at the 1st FAI World Indoor Skydiving Championships and launched the 2016 season at the Wind Games.

Antimatter will try to beat last year's World Challenge average with the same lineup and hold off the French Aerokart Ak'demie 4-way juniors with the same AAA Class lineup that competed at the Clash of Champions 2015.

The second category shows the teams who did not attend an indoor competition in 2015. South African national 4-way team Savolo competes for the first time at the World Challenge, even though some of the team members are not new to the Bedford competition. Debbie Lamsley posted a 21.1 average with ACM at the World Challenge 2015 and will now take on her former team.

Phoenix has been a regular at all outdoor meets in the United Kingdom since launching the team project in the AA Class at the World Challenge 2014. Perris Dauntless Five brings former SDC Rhythm XP member Christy Frikken back to the place where she finished in 2nd place last year, and where she posted the standing 66-pointer world record with Perris Fury in 2010. Dan BC had taken her slot with the same team at the USPA Nationals 2015 where she competed with Rhythm.

The last category introduces new teams and their lineups.
