Did You Know...

... that the Shamrock sequences for the first six rounds included three random formations?

Impressive: Arizona Airspeed
posted Mar 18th, 2016 - The weather situation was not very promising for the Shamrock Showdown 2016, however, all teams completed six of the scheduled ten rounds on Friay.

The new NSL Talk with the event judges (Chris Talbert, Jim Rees, Dirk Venter) revealed that the competition draw was very challenging. Traditionally, the Shamrock teams pull the numbers and letters for the competition sequences out of the hat (trophy) by themselves, and they were responsible for the fact that all six memory blocks (3,5,10,12,16,17) were drawn for six different sequences.

On top of that, the first six rounds were slower and technically challenging, with 15 blocks and 3 random formations. The meet averages after six rounds are not impressive for obvious reasons.

NSL Talk: Judges Corner
The slow competition draw for the first six rounds still did not hold back the best teams to impress the audience with great performances. The meet videos of Arizona Airspeed's first five rounds are showing the new lineup in best harmony and on a very promising performance level with new Point Mikhail Markine.

It's an interesting lineup, as the three judges mentioned in the live NSL Talk on Friday. Only videographer Justin Price is an original U.S. citizen, while his team mates are all

U.S. immigrants. Thomas Hughes is from Great Britain, Niklas Hemlin from Sweden, Thiago Gomes from South Africa/Brazil, and the latest Airspeed member Mikhail Markine was born in Russia.

The Aerodyne French Girls are performing just as impressively as Airspeed is and hold the 2nd place over SDC Rhythm XP and Qatar Tigers. Take-off for Round 7 is scheduled for 8 AM on Saturday morning.
