posted Mar 22nd, 2016 - The Sun Path Products NSL News was not done with the coverage of the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2016 when the next events required attention, as well.

The story on March 10th explained how the Aerokart Boot Competition 2016 in Paris, France, was even indirectly connected to the event in Raeford, North Carolina. Both meets took place on the same weekend, and several French 8-way competitors attended the Aerokart 4-way competition (Weembi Demi 8), while the Golden Knights also competed with three 4-way lineups at Paraclete.

Weembi Demi 8 won the 4-way competition in Paris, and the Golden Knights took the 1st place in Raeford. The Golden Knights also won the 8-way competition, while the Aerokart event does not include 8-way.

The 8-way competition at Paraclete was more or less a training event for the Golden Knights, as there was no serious opposition for the reigning 8-way world champions. The Golden Knights could easily focus on their 4-way performances at the same time.

The situation was different at the previous 8-way indoor competition that the Golden Knights attended.

France had the complete national 8-way lineup at the Clash of Champions 2015, and the U.S. Army team had only 8-way in mind and no 4-way on the agenda in Dubai.

Result was a 32.4 average at the Clash of Champions, which is the highest meet average in 8-way history, including a new indoor world record of 42 points in Round 10.

The 8-way competition draw at Paraclete did not offer a new world record opportunity, while the 30.2 average was still the third time that the Golden Knights posted a 30+ average in 8-way. No other 8-way team could score anywhere close to the Golden Knights in Raeford. The French 8-way team had stolen the highscore for one out of the ten rounds in Dubai.

The situation was different in Paraclete's Intermediate Class 8-way competition. The all-female Blocksmiths XP lineup was back as the defending champion after winning the 2015 event by three points.

There was mainly French opposition to the female 8-way power, and Blocksmiths XP had to accept a few tied scores and the loss of two rounds. However, at the end the title defense was successful with a 9-point victory this year.
