Did You Know...

... that Czech indoor winter season is complete?

HF Junior Cubs at the World Challenge 2016
posted Apr 14th, 2016 - The Sun Path Products NSL News mentioned during the previews of the World Challenge 2016 that the Czech Republic would have a large delegation in Bedford. It turned out that six 4-way teams competed in three of the four categories.

It was not only the great participation from the Czech Republic that caught the attention of the Sun Path Products NSL News. The passionate Czech 4-way community, with godfather Jan Klapka in the Bad Boys lineup, also had a very busy spring schedule.

Most of the Czech teams in Bedford participate in the monthly race for the Indoor Cloud League leaderboard. The HF Junior Flies scored 27 points for the Hurricane Factory's R Class sequence in March before traveling to Bedford.

HF Junior Flies at the World Challenge 2016
Both Czech junior teams, HF Junior Cubs and Flies, competed in the A Class at the World Challenge, and the young ladies in the Cubs lineup finished in 5th place with a 16.7 average. They outscored the French A Class juniors in the Aerokart Ak'demie team by nine points. The even younger Flies ended up in 13th place of 18 teams in this category. The third Czech team in the A Class, Phoenix, won the silver medals with a 19.4 average.

It took only two weeks until the Czech teams were back in action, this time on home turf at the Hurricane Factory. Jan Klapka hosted the last competition of the European Tunnel League's (ETL) winter season this week, and ten teams attended the 6th Sportflight meet.

The Bad Boys and both HF Junior teams all improved their averages compared to the World Challenge, and the HF Junior Cubs won the A Class competition.

HF Junior Blue in training at the Hurricane Factory
The indoor winter season in the Czech Republic is over now, and the first outdoor competition is scheduled for May.

Jan Klapka is using the break in the indoor schedule to take care of the next 4-way generation after the HF Junior Cubs and Flies. HF Junior Blue took on the first Rookie Class sequences last month. The lineup is actually a new Bad Boys generation at the same time.

Tail Matej Sotona is Jan Klapka's grandson, Outside Center Denisa Jeziakova is Marian Jeziak's daughter, and Point Filip Lukavec has his father Jan Lukavec in the Bad Boys lineup. Stepan Volf completes the very young team, and the first scores and videos will probably follow with the beginning of the next Czech indoor season...
