posted Apr 29th, 2016 - The Czech 4-way teams have a busier meet schedule than teams in most other countries. However, April was an extremely busy month where most of the Czech teams attended two meets and participated in the Indoor Cloud League activities on top of that.

Three teams even competed at three 10-round events this month and added several scores to the ICL April account of the Hurricane Factory. Bad Boys, HF Junior Cubs and HF Junior Flies started the extraordinary meet month at the World Challenge 2016 in Bedford.

Then they attended the last indoor winter meet of Sportflight's European Tunnel League on April 13th where all three teams finished with higher meet averages compared to the scores in Bedford. Finally, 14 teams competed at the Czech Indoor Nationals 2016 this week, and the same three teams finished with their best meet averages of the year.

In fact, both junior teams, HF Cubs and HF Flies, posted the highest meet averages in their team careers this week, and they are experienced 4-way competitors by now.

Jan Klapka launched the 4-way junior program of the Hurricane Factory last year, and both teams competed for the first time in September 2015. The HF Cubs have competed at nine meets ever since, including 1st FAI World Indoor Skydiving Championships, Clash of Champions and World Challenge. The HF Flies are only one meet behind.

Both teams started in the AA Class in preparation for the FAI competition, while they followed the natural progression beginning in the Rookie Class, in training and at the Indoor Cloud League events. Now they have mastered the A Class dive pool, and Jan Klapka is probably preparing them for the next step back into the AA Class.

In the meantime, the next generation of Czech 4-way competitors completed their first 10-round meet. HF Junior Blue appeared for the first time on the Czech Indoor Cloud League leaderboard last month, as the Sun Path Products NSL News reported on April 14th and now followed up at the Czech Indoor Nationals.

It is only natural that the youngest 4-way team in the world and in the history of the sport starts at the bottom of the leaderboard. At the same time, their grand-fathers and fathers of the Bad Boys are still on the top of the same leaderboard with a new lineup and a new 2016 record average.

Former alternate Jaroslav Smitka has now taken the point slot, and Outside Center Vaclav Prokes is back in the active lineup. Tail Jan Klapka and Inside Center Jan Lukavec are in the same 2015 slots. And yes, the Hurricane Factory is also back in the top spot on the Indoor Cloud League April leaderboard...
