Did You Know...

... that iFLY Orlando has grabbed the Indoor Cloud League top spot for April?

Small and high-scoring iFLY Orlando team
posted Apr 29th, 2016 - The running Indoor Cloud League competition for the month of April has turned into one of the closest races in the short history of the young league.

The Hurricane Factory just took back the top of the leaderboard with the scores that were posted yesterday, and iFLY Seattle took the 3rd place away from iFLY Orlando a day later.

It was only a 3-point difference that separated iFLY Houston from the top spot after the scores from the Czech Republic changed the rankings on the leaderboard. Then iFLY Orlando's ICL team was back in the 12-foot chamber last night and added 40 points to the April total. That was enough to take the top spot by one single point over the Hurricane Factory. It is the first time since February 2015 that iFLY Orlando is back in the battle for the 1st place, which has been dominated mostly by the Hurricane Factory. However, the April competition is not over yet.

It was the third time this month that iFLY Orlando's Indoor Cloud League team came together. Two scores (AA - R) from the beginning of the month are still standing after the last April event. Newcomer Charles Hammond and Lee Perera were in the Rookie Class lineup who posted the 16-pointer for the R Class sequence.

Lee Perera, who joined iFLY Orlando's ICL team in September last year with only 1-on-1 training and performed his first 4-way sequences in October, was back for the second ICL event this month, as well. He had a new partner in the R Class lineup and could not improve his own previous score.

That changed last night when Amer Kassas re-joined the ICL team. The Rookie Class lineup with player coaches Bob Byrne and Hal Spence did not even try the R Class sequence and posted impressive scores for the RRR and RR Class sequences.

Z-Hills PreciZion's early 19-pointer also survived the whole month, even though it was challenged and tied two times by the same lineup that performed the AAA Class sequence for iFLY Orlando.

Hal Spence, Sebastian Jimenez, James Hall and Kurt Gaebel started with a 16-pointer for the 6-point slot switcher on April 21st and came back last night to pick up the pace. Result was a 20-pointer for the same sequence, which tied the highscore of the Bad Boys for April.

All ICL competitors at iFLY Orlando last night have team plans for the 2016 season, and the same names will appear in different lineups at the outdoor meets of the Florida Skydiving League. Frank Swaggerty was a new ICL participant at iFLY Orlando last night, who is getting ready to perform his first 4-way Rookie Class sequences soon.
