Did You Know...

... that Scott Latinis helped iFLY Houston to steal the Indoor Cloud League A Class highscore from iFLY Dallas?

Scott Latinis with Dallas 350
posted May 18th, 2016 - The FAI/IPC competition rules for Formation Skydiving competition usually apply from the top level (World Cup - World Meet) down to the grass roots. However, the recent rule change for indoor competition does not have a serious impact on indoor events around the world, which have mostly been run without much concern about contact with walls and floors in the flying chambers.

The Indoor Cloud League events will not be effected in any way, while the recent removal of the side-body link-up rule fully applies for all indoor and outdoor training and competition activities.

The Indoor Cloud League had its own recent change in the format for indoor competition, as the Sun Path Products NSL News reported on May 2nd, and iFLY Dallas was the first ICL team that posted scores and videos for the 14-foot May sequences.

It did not take too long until the next 14-foot scores and videos followed. In fact, it was the local ICL rival in Texas, iFLY Houston, who posted scores for the three 14-foot specific sequences (AAA - AA - A). The three Rookie Class sequences (RRR - RR - R) apply for all flying chamber sizes.

The Indoor Cloud League events have been pitching Dallas 350 and Spaceland Lite members against each other in a friendly way this year, and it happened again this month. Dallas 350's complete lineup posted the scores for the AAA and AA Class sequences, while Spaceland Lite members Katrina and Devon Shows guided two new AAA Class competitors (Ash the Aussie, Diana Hu) through the challenging AAA Class slot switcher.

The Dallas 350 and Spaceland Lite members were also in several other lineups as player coaches where they competed indirectly with and against each other.

There was also, and once again, cooperation between both ICL teams. Dallas 350 member Scott Latinis has been the player coach for Texas team 4 Shades of Grey, and he competed for the iFLY Houston team after posting the Dallas 350 scores.

In fact, 4 Shades of Grey stole the only highscore from iFLY Dallas, with Scott Latinis in the lineup. His Dallas 350 team mate Scott Levy had posted the 18-pointer for iFLY Dallas, with Dave Eisele, Genifer Oliver and Kyle Hermberg in the A Class lineup.

Scott Latinis, Chad Hall, Billy Whitaker and Randy Morgan then outscored iFLY Dallas with a 19-pointer for the A Class sequence in the 14-foot chamber.
