The same story mentioned that the winner of the DFU Cup 2016, Pangaea, was not officially sanctioned yet as Denmark's national team in 4-way AAA/Open.
The story on May 21st followed up with the news that Denmark's national 4-way Open Class team at the FAI World Meet in Prostejov 2014, VAF Warriors, who are also still the reigning national champions, would represent Denmark at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2016 in October, a month after the Mondial 2016.

Pangaea had finished four points (162 - 166) behind the VAF Warriors at last year's national outdoor championships and challenged the national team again a few months later for the national indoor title without success (202 - 216). However, Pangaea made new plans for the 2016 season and was now rewarded with the trip to the Mondial 2016.
Pangaea was formed at the beginning of the 2015 season and competed for the first time at the World Challenge 2015, where the VAF Warriors did not attend. Three months later, and after a short 2-round confrontation at the DFU Cup 2015, both teams battled hard for the national outdoor title.

Two Pangaea members have competed at FAI world meets before. Kjetil Nordin competed for Norway's national team in 4-way Open (X3M4S Elements) in Menzelinsk 2010. Flemming Borup Andersen was a member of Voluntas, Denmark's national team in 4-way Open between 2009 and 2011.
The current Pangaea team mates competed against each other in Menzelinsk 2010, and Denmark won clearly. Now they will represent Denmark together and in the same lineup at the Mondial 2016.
