Did You Know...

... that AtomiX YUU won last weekend's international AAA Class competition?

German 4-way teams at the Nord Cup 2016
posted Jul 6th, 2016 - Last weekend's outdoor leaderboard is complete and features once again an international competition with 4-way teams from three different countries (Germany, Czech Republic, Netherlands).

Nine teams competed in the AAA Class, where Thunder ISR and Paul Hofstee missed the Tomscat Trophy for the first time in team and personal history. The absence of Thunder offered German team AtomiX YUU and Bad Boys from the Czech Republic the opportunity to compete for the AAA Class top spot.

Bad Boys won in the Czech Republic and AtomiX in Germany, with the 1st place on the combined leaderboard in German possession. The teams at the Tomscat Trophy and in Kunovice completed all ten rounds, while the weather at the Nord Cup allowed only five rounds. However, the ranking was in the same order after five and ten rounds.

AtomiX YUU with the Nord Cup
AtomiX YUU won the Nord Cup with a new team record average (16.2) after the five rounds on home turf, which was a great start for the changed rear piece. Janine Tillenburg and Peter Ingenhaag recently switched their slots, and the new Inside Center (Janine Tillenburg) drove the AtomiX engine successfully to the new team record average at the first meet after the change.

Last year's 1-point winner Remscheid could not attend the meet due to a recent injury, and AtomiX did not have serious local competition last weekend.

Vigil LogoBoth teams will meet again at the German Nationals 2016 in September, which will be the only additional meet that AtomiX will attend this year. Reason for the lower numbers of meets for AtomiX this year is the selection of three team members to compete for Germany at the Mondial 2016 in 4-way Women. Andrea Kleinschmidt and Janine Tillenburg travel to Chicago shortly after the national championships, together with videographer Lars Naeve. Just like SDC Rhythm XP, AtomiX is actually aiming at competing at a world meet in the 4-way Open Class with their mixed lineup.
