Did You Know...

... that iFLY Dallas won the 14+ competition with a 57-pointer in the R Class?

posted Jul 6th, 2016 - Amanda Lampton's Indoor Cloud League team at iFLY Dallas continues to catch up on this year's leaderboard for the 14+ flying chambers. The June total of 170 points is one of the highest numbers in ICL history and took the 1st place away from the Hurricane Factory. It's the second consecutive monthly victory of the iFLY Dallas team.

Amanda Lampton said that she had the pleasure of working with two new ICL competitors, Melody Storm and Lyndsey Luther: "Melody is solely a tunnel flier and is improving quite rapidly. Lyndsey recently finished her A license and has less than an hour in the tunnel."

She did some 1-on-1 training with Lyndsey Luther earlier on the ICL evening before performing the first 4-way sequences. Then Melody Storm and Lyndsey Luther "rocked it out in the R Class" with a record 57-pointer. Amanda Lampton said that she will still keep them in the same category for another month or two and see how they will perform with formations that require more movement.

Former Arizona Airspeed member Todd Hawkins was able to join the iFLY Dallas team again this month, while he is preparing for the Ironman in Kona. Amanda Lampton said that his training schedule has been demanding, but that it worked out for her ICL team in June.

She also had Annie Peterson, former Arizona Divewerkz and Spaceland Blue member, help as a player coach last month. It's her work and school agenda that keep her busy usually. Arizona Divewerkz won USPA's Advanced Class medals in 2006, and Spaceland Blue competed for the Vigil LogoU.S. delegation in 4-way Women in Menzelinsk 2010 and won bronze medals.

Todd Hawkins and Annie Peterson posted the 33-pointer in the RR Class (Rob Parker, John Victor) and then joined forces with Amanda Lampton and Lucas King for the 17-pointer in the AAA Class. Dallas 350 team mate Scott Levy had Dave Eisele, Genifer Oliver and Emily Lookadoo in the lineup for the AA Class sequence (12) and then posted the A Class 21-pointer with Beth Victor, Kyle Hermberg and Zach Lewis. Amanda Lampton herself took care of the RRR Class sequence (Lacey Porter, Zach Breaux, Rodrigo Falla).
