Did You Know...

... that iFLY Orlando had an internal 3-team Indoor Cloud League competition last night?

3rd Place: Player coaches lineup with Amer Kassas
posted Jul 22nd, 2016 - iFLY Orlando's Indoor Cloud League team had launched their challenge of the July sequences for the 12+foot flying chambers on July 15th with a total of 72 points.

The AAA Class sequence was the only one of the six ICL categories without a number after the first event at iFLY Orlando, and last night's ICL team made sure that the void would be filled.

Three of the four lineups had the AAA Class sequence (B-14-C-17) on the training and competition agenda, together with the sequences for the AA and A Class. It was a true internal 4-way competition over three rounds that took place last night at iFLY Orlando. The AAA Class sequence was also the first slot-switching experience for several ICL competitors. In fact, only the three player coaches (Bob Byrne, Hal Spence, Kurt Gaebel) and two other ICL competitors (James Hall, Sebastian Jimenez) had any previous experiences with slot-switching AAA Class sequences.

2nd Place: DeLand Kickers "B-Team"
The internal AAA Class competition turned out as a successful event for James Hall and Sebastian Jimenez, who outscored the three player coaches easily in all three categories. They had Z-Hills PreciZion tail Jimmy Xu in their rear piece, while new AAA Class competitor Leslie Ennergizer had the inside center slot. James Hall, Sebastian Jimenez and Leslie Ennergizer are all part of the DeLand Kickers 4-way project.

The three player coaches had ZeuZ member Amer Kassas in their lineup, who was also brand-new to AAA Class slot-switchers. In fact, Z-Hills PreciZion and ZeuZ are both AA Class teams, who plan to compete at the USPA Nationals 2016 in the AA/Intermediate Class.

Amer Kassas' lineup eventually ended up in 3rd place of this internal competition, as another lineup of the DeLand Kickers was a part of this AAA Class challenge, as well.

Internal Winner: DeLand Kickers "A-Team"
James Hall and Sebastian Jimenez had Cathy Luo and Brad Weinberg in their second lineup, who were also completely new to AAA class sequences. They outscored the player coaches by two points (47 - 45) after the three different sequences and a close battle.

The DeLand Kickers A-Team lineup actually won all three sequences, however, the 17-pointer for the AAA Class sequence did not make it to the official 12+foot Indoor Cloud League leaderboard, where identical teams can post scores only for two neighboring categories. It is the second DeLand Kickers lineup who have their 13-pointer on the ICL leaderboard after one point deduction.

Brand-new ICL competitors Shelley Andrzejewski and William Hunter also added four points to the previous R Class score, with Hal Spence and Anne Cooney in the lineup. iFLY Orlando now has scores for all six 12+ sequences and has the remainder of the month to improve the scores.
